How To Have A Successful Engagement Session

You just got engaged, congrats!!! Time to get wedding planning! But first thing’s first: you need engagement pictures!
There are a couple of good arguments as to why you need an engagement session.
1. Celebrate your new butterfly-love! I wish it lasted forever, but it doesn’t. Taking pictures in that euphoric stage will help you to remember those feelings all over again!
2. You & your boo probably look friggin’ amazing right now. Like for real. People for some reason just look their very best in that stage of life. I kid you not.
3. You will LOVE your photos in all of your wedding attire! But you will also want some professional photos of you two in more casual clothes! It’s just really nice to have photos that you can hang on your wall to add variety to your decor.

OKAY! So you booked your session, now what? This is where your stellar photographer comes in! If you feel at all uncomfortable or unsure of how your session will go, it will look something like this:
1. You’ll meet your photographer & they will ask you a bit about you two & your story! This will loosen you up & make you feel comfortable!
2. Your photographer will take you to the location you have previously agreed upon, & you will be given prompts! Prompts are little scenarios your photographer wants you to act out. They may seem silly & out of your comfort zone, but that’s done on purpose! When you feel vulnerable & silly, you will honestly look adorable. You tend to look at your boo more, & smile more candidly.
3. After a series of prompts & locations, you’ll finish your session! It will probably go faster than you would think because you’ll just be frolicking & giggling with your lover the whole time! You will say your goodbyes & that is that!
4. You will receive your gallery a couple of weeks later & FALL IN LOVE! I have been married for 4 years & those engagement pictures I got with my now-husband are still some of my favorite!

Moral of this story: not only are your engagement photos going to be an absolutely fun & unforgettable evening with your true love, but you are going to cherish those photos forever! They will bring back those butterfly feelings you will never want to lose!
